Teens in a trauma-informed educational setting for high school students provide candid conversation about their unique needs as learners. Host Tony Neal, a veteran social justice trainer, and co-host Deborah Bohlmann, an experienced high school teacher, respond and reflect on the implications of the conversation for educators committed to listening to their students. Recording, music, logo, and editing by Alvin Zamudio. Produced by Deborah Bohlmann.
We let Travis Williams, the trauma expert teacher we interviewed in Episode 4, borrow our recorder and take it into his school where he could gather input from his students in their educational home setting. They recorded 90 minutes of conversation about what it means to them to learn in a school sensitive to their needs as survivors of trauma, which we edited down to fit in our half-hour podcast.
